Megan Gunn & The Pistoleros

Born in Manchester, Michigan, and firmly rooted in the Sunshine State, Brian Molnar was practically born with rhythm in his blood. Coming from a multigenerational family of musicians, Brian credits his father, Jim, whose working bands were a fixture in Michigan and Central Florida from the 1960s through the late ’90s, for lighting the musical fuse. With six siblings who also played instruments or sang, growing up in the Molnar household meant music wasn’t just a hobby—it was the family business.

Drawing inspiration from Motown, disco, ’80s and ’90s rock, alternative, and country, Brian developed a musical versatility that has taken him across countless stages and genres. His impressive résumé includes performing and recording with Screaming Silence, Hudson Maloon, Parallel Lines, Phat Chance, Bent Straight, Hayfire, PG Country, Slickwood, Randall Crawford, Kenyon Lockry, and Kenzie Wheeler. He’s also provided opening support for legendary acts including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, John Michael Montgomery, Lee Brice, Kelsea Ballerini, and Craig Campbell.

As the founding drummer of Megan Gunn & The Pistoleros, Brian helped lay the foundation for a band built on friendship, musical chemistry, and the ability to turn just about any genre into a full-throttle live experience. For Brian, the magic isn’t just in the music—it’s in sharing the stage with his best friends and watching everything else disappear when the lights come on and the first note hits.

Quiet by nature but commanding behind the kit, Brian doesn’t need to be the loudest guy in the room. He lets the drums do the talking—and they’ve got plenty to say.
